When Dr. T retired from Mondavi Dental, I was nervous as one would be by having to see the other dentist in this practice. I had been seeing Dr. T for many, many years and knew his great skill. But I can say, after Dr. Swain installed a crown for me, I am just as pleased with her skill and knowledge as I was with Dr. T. Dr. Swain is pleasant, skilled and just wonderful. As well, Cindy, the hygienist has many years of experience, has great knowledge about teeth and the front desk ladies are warm and a pleasure as well. This review comes from one who has worked in the dental field in a previous life so I feel I can spot a good practice and Mondavi will not disappoint.

I had to do the process twice in order to get the color I wanted. It was difficult due to the fact that I have 2 composites across my 2 front teeth. However in spite of that I am very pleased with the results.

Dr Swain and her team are wonderful. My x-rays revealed a cavity under a crown that connected to two other crowns all supporting a bridge. She was able to sever the connection between the problem crown and the rest. As a result she saved two crowns and the bridge. The procedure required great expertise and delicacy. I am very impressed with her work and she has a great chair-side manner. If you are in need of a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Swain.

I've been going to Dr. T since he started at this practice many years ago. Naturally I was apprehensive as I had been using his retired predecessor since the 70's. But, Dr. Trentalancia proved to be just as skilled and wonderful. Can't imagine a better dentist. And if you want to feel as though your teeth have truly been cleaned, Jaleesa, the hygienist, is amazing. She knows a lot about dental health and takes extra care in her cleaning. Dr. Trentalancia and his entire staff are just amazing! They always fit me in when I need work done. The atmosphere and how you’re greeted as you arrive by the the receptionist is warm & welcoming. As far as Dr. Trentalancia goes, you’d be hard press to find a better dentist! His approach for each dental procedure is well explained and always handled with the patient in mind. I “highly” recommend Dr. Trentalancia and Mondovi Dental!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Trentalancia since I was a kid. For the past few years I lived in Atlanta, GA but after moving back to Stamford I knew I had to go back for a cleaning. They fit me into their schedule quickly and was great to see their new offices on Summer Street. As usual the staff was friendly and I got plenty of reminders ensuring I didn't forget my appointment. They even scheduled my next appointment so I don't have to remember to make one in 6 months. If you are going during the COVID-19 pandemic, not a problem. They took all of the right precautions and my technician wore 2 masks and a face shield plus wiped down all services before and after my appointment. Lastly, my technician Anna was friendly and thorough. I can't wait to go back!

Dr. Clabaugh is the best! I have been seeing him for years and every appointment goes so smoothly. He is very professional and I highly recommend him for any dental needs. Amy did my cleaning at my most recent appointment and she was amazing. Painless and very entertaining experience. She even called the next morning to make sure I was feeling okay! I don't ever write reviews but this team deserves a well earned recognition for years of healthy teeth!

No matter where I have lived in Fairfield County I am happy to make the drive to Stamford to be cared for by this exceptional group of people. Each member of this team is kind, courteous, professional, honest, highly skilled and yes, even very funny! I look forward to each and every visit. I place very high trust in each of them and together they are the best dental team in Stamford and beyond. Dr. C is the best doctor I have in any discipline. Dr. Claybaugh was recommended to me by my primary care physician and I have been seeing him for more than ten years. I was in again last week for a routine check up and cleaning. Amy did the cleaning and was absolutely fantastic. Such tenseness. I didn’t feel a thing. She then passed me on to Dr. Clabaugh, who discovered that one of my old fillings had worn out. In almost no time he repaired the damage and I was able to get on with the rest of my day. All in all a very satisfying experience. That’s why I keep going back.

Hygienist Amy is the consummate professional. She is thorough, detail-oriented and extraordinarily knowledgeable. Dr. Claybaugh is terrific as well. They both are only concerned with providing the highest level of care to ensure good oral health. The new office is beautiful and the office staff is so easy to work with. If going to the dentist is not your favorite activity, this team makes it as easy and pain-free as possible.

Dr Clabaugh is wonderful. I'm a big chicken at the dentist but he is great. Always on time. Offices are clean and soothing. I highly recommend Dr Clabaugh.
