If you want your appointments constantly canceled, and to go a year or more without an appointment because they krep canceling, and only get the answering service when you call,and never receive a call back, a complete hassle just to make an appointment, then go for it.Nothing has changed The staff is great and patient with my daughters and I have been going to Dr. Procopio for about 20 years now, since he was under his own business. I still love Dr. Procopio, however, now that Modovi has taken over it has gone downhill and continues to roll downhill! Appointments are constantly canceled, and you end up going much past your 6 month time frame. Also, I want to call the office and make an appointment, but it automatically gives me the answering service! I don't want to leave a message to have them call me back to make an appointment! Patients should be able to call directly! This is nonsense.update: It's been weeks and noone still has called for the appt.

This place has service that has declined in satisfaction recently. I use to be able get 2 yearly appointments for our family of 5 regularly. Now I just had first appointment in November this year and the next one is in August next year!!! Dental health is important but they cannot meet the recommended 2 per year cleaning then something is wrong. The hygienist is also not as good as the one I had for years. The change in ownership to Mondovi is the worst thing ever.

Doc Procopio is great but you can't make an appointment without them changing it (often without telling you). The turnover makes me think Mondavi's office practices are awful beyond just their communication.*edited to add that they are stealing money now. As an In-Network provider, they are only allowed to bill a certain amount for a particular service. They will rebill as something more to get more money and charge the client. When I called and addressed, I was told I would get a refund check and never did. When I called and asked why 5 months later it had not come, I got a runaround about not filling out paperwork. This office's practices are criminal.

My husband has had several scheduled cleaning appointments over the past year and all have been canceled by the practice. I myself have had two scheduled appointments canceled by the practice. The office stated they are short staffed and can only put us on a waiting list and if we schedule another appointment it won’t be for at least 9 months and they can’t guarantee that will also not be cancelled. I receive multiple notifications to schedule an appointment because I’m overdue. Unfortunately this practice has made doing so impossible. We have been extremely patient but with 5 appointments between the both of us being cancelled and being over due a year for a basic cleaning, I would think proper curtesy would be to reschedule within a reasonable time frame and not make us continuously call the office to try and get in. Most of the time just speaking to an answering service and never receiving a call back.

Like others, we are long-term patients who are (very) pleased with the dentists but if your appointments are REPEATEDLY (meaning over several years) cancelled, who the denstist is is meaningless. I lost a TOOTH because of the delays (resulting in an advanced cavity) and ended up having to pay for an implant. And just this week we received an email message soliciting for NEW PATIENTS when the practice tells us that they only have 2 hygenists (down from 5) and, again, cancelled both my and my husband's appointments. Also, we have spoken repeatedly to the office manager and staff about this problem so all the message about "getting more details" (below) are meaningless - they are fully aware of the problem and nothing changes. If you're looking for a dentist, my advice (sadly) is to look elsewhere.

Worst dental office that you can deal with. I am writing this review after giving them chances after chances for almost 2 years now. They keep rescheduling to keep patients in the practice and when it gets close to the appointment time, they reschedule again. Instead of being honest and telling that they have no one to take care of the patients, they just reschedule. Worst of all, they don’t take any responsibility. I think Dr Procopio should stick with selling ice cream and have whatever staff he has, help him with his ice cream business as they are not capable of providing dental care.

I've been going here for 7 years, and Dr. Procopio and his staff were always great. However, scheduling appointments in a timely manner was always an issue, and it has now become utterly unmanageable. I had to reschedule my appointment in the fall, and the earliest they could fit me in was 7 months (!) later. Then, three days before my appointment, after waiting 7 months, they abruptly canceled it on me due to a staffing shortage, and informed me that they wouldn't be able to reschedule it at this time due to said staffing shortage. I guess I have to find a new dentist. The fact that they keep losing dental hygienists and apparently can't replace them doesn't speak well for the direction this dental practice has headed in since being sold to Mondovi.

When I get there they say they don't have my insurance - which I put in the online form when making appointment, then someone else comes and says oh no its the wrong insurance so you'll have to pay cash today. I waited over 2 months for the appointment, I have Delta Dental and it says right on the DD site that the dentist can look up your info but nope - they were totally OK with me walking out the door rather than helping me find a solution. Didn't even try to reschedule. The dentist may or may not be fine - but the front office is not great.

I’ve been coming to this office for over 20 years. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Procopio. He is fabulous!! However, since Mondovi Dental took over it had gone down hill FAST!! I hadn’t had a cleaning in 10 months since they canceled on me due to lack of hygienist. The billing department won’t let me have 2 cleanings and 2 periodontal maintenance a year. They said it was against the law and fraud!! NOT TRUE!!! My insurance company told me I could have 2 cleanings and 2 periodontal cleanings a year. I checked with another dentist and they will gladly bill it that way. No problem!! That’s what my policy says I am allowed!!! They aren’t answering their phones today. All new faces yesterday. I’ll go to a new dentist. Bye bye Mondovi Dental!!!

Definitely time to make a switch. I’m not usually one to complain but it just keeps getting worse. The care is fine once you’re at your appointment. But the problem is actually having an appointment!! My last appointment was cancelled due to staffing issues, fine it happens. But then the next available appointment is 6 months out. Today was said appointment. I had confirmed it via text days ago. I get there today and the doors are locked! They had closed due to weather I assume. But how was I supposed to know? No text or call or email or recorded message on the phone, not even a sign on the door. And there were other tire tracks in the parking lot so other people tried to go to their appointments too, I wasn’t the only one uninformed. My daughter and myself have been going to the previously owned dental office when it was Procopio Dental for several years where we received EXCELLENT service. Customer service has definitely changed since changing to Mondovi, I've noticed many new faces. This past year we have been cancelled or rescheduled only to be cancelled again with no notice. I have been told to call weekly to check their cancellation list only to be told when I call there is no such list and treated like I'm crazy. I could go on but this should be enough. Go elsewhere. And really too bad because the dentists are great but you have to get past the scheduler/receptionist to get an appointment.

This place has gone down the toilet since Doc Procopio sold out. Today the office called us to say they needed to reschedule cleanings for my wife and 2 children. It’s November 1st and they can’t fit us in again until the end of May? They stated they now have ZERO hygenists on staff. Back in August I had to reschedule my own cleaning. My doing this time, but with plenty of notice. The office couldn’t get me back in until February! They stated they would put me on a cancellation list. I’ve been on this mysterious list before but somehow have never once gotten a call. This place went from the best doc ever to a garbage chute in a few years. Moving on and good riddance! Very sad to see Doc Procopios legacy ruined like this.

The work that was done was great but for the second time I was overcharged after my insurance was applied by the office people because incorrect coding was used. When I mentioned the astronomical amount I was paying for one filling the girl at the counter just looked at me with blank look on her face and continued to wait for me to hand her the money without bothering to check into it. I had to go out to my vehicle and call my insurance company to verify that I was indeed being overcharged. I’m not sure if the billing is being done incorrectly on purpose or not but as I said this was the second time it has happened and enough for me to question the integrity of this business. In my opinion patients should not be billed anything UNTIL the insurance has paid their share as most other places do it. Looking pretty shady and from my perspective they need to pick up their game or I’m out!

Since being taken over by Mondovi Dental, this practice has gone downhill in terms of their billing. I routinely get bills that are inaccurate and not on agreement with my insurance company. I've talked with their billing department repeatedly and they never correct their records. I've been a patient here for 20 years but have decided to leave. It just isn't worth the headache of dealing with their billing office.

Absolutely the worst. Besides that they are consistently canceling appointments, the dentist is arrogant and the office staff is unprofessional. I strongly advise going somewhere else. They billed insurance incorrectly and under a dentist that did not take my insurance yet they copy of the bill sent to me was in the name of the dentist that did take my insurance. I pointed out the discrepancy to the office manager who was going to look into it, have it corrected and call me back. None of this happened. They now won't return calls or allow me to speak to the office manager. Last contact I had they stated to pay the bill because they no longer take my insurance yet they did at the time of the procedure. This is FRAUD. I now have to contact a lawyer.

Service was fine but billing is ridiculous. Website shows taking my insurance. My insurance company list them as taking my insurance. After receiving care, they now say the the particular dentist that did the work does not take my insurance. They even sent separate bills to me and the insurance. The bill to me is from the group, but the bill to insurance if from that individual dentist. I would consider this as fraud. Go somewhere else.

I had all my teeth pulled out last September in Elmira at Mondovi. Due to the the covid-19 they were not able to finish and closed for good. I called Mondovi in Fayetteville New York and told them my situation. I was told they would get back with me after checking out my records. Well that never happened and in heve been waiting for almost 2 weeks and nothing has happened. I paid over $6,000 to Mondovi to have my dentures set correctly and I WILL HAVE TO GET A NEW DENTIST TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM. IT'S VERY SAD THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPEN.

I recently went in just to find out that virtually every previous employee has now been replaced. No explanation of anything. I then went to check out and was informed there is a $20 additional Covid fee. When I went to inquire about it they said it was to offset the additional material needed to cover their costs. I told them that I do not mind covering additional costs but I did not see anyone wearing anything other than what they usually did . Not to mention a two or three dollar per patient additional fee should cover any additional costs not $20. Regardless, I should have been informed of this additional $20 fee when my appointment was made, Not after being a captive audience. I have been a patient at this office for many years and it was, by far, my favorite place. Now After changing over to Mondovi, the lack of any explanation of any changes, and not getting the customer service I used to, I am seriously considering transferring my family to another office.

I used to like this practice but it's become impossible to schedule cleanings every 6 months. I have had a few different hygienist in the last couple of years so it appears that they can't keep people. The newest issue was they called me three business days before my scheduled cleaning and told me they needed to reschedule it. They cancelled my appointment and told me they are booked for 6 months! That makes it so there is a year in between my cleanings. I will be looking for a new dentist.
