This is by far the best dental office I have been too. The staff is great! My dental hygienist is very gentle but efficiently cleans my teeth. Then I’m called in by my hygienist Rita, also very friendly and welcoming. The cleaning she does is so thorough, my teeth feel amazing. Then I see my dentist who is Dr. Cassimattis who comes in to do my check up. She is also very friendly and welcoming. She is a great dentist. I wouldn’t want anyone else doing my dental work. I have been going to Mondovi Dental in Middletown, New York for about one year. My husband too. The staff here is wonderful. I feel very safe from covid here, it is extremely sanitary and clean. I have a nervous reaction to Dentists and Dental procedures. Dr. Joann Cassimatis is wonderful! She’s so gentle that I have never felt the needle that is used to numb me. I used to actually shake with nerves sitting in a dentist chair. The last two times that I went here, I was so calm it seemed like I was a different person. She is an amazing Dentist. Her work is exceptional. I walk out of there so happy. I have never experienced pain after any procedure! I love her, and I love this place!

I’m very disgusted with this group. First I get called late in the afternoon to tell me that my appointment has to be cancelled for the following day. This was at 3:36 in the afternoon and was told to call them before 5 that day. The next thing is my husband had appointment today which I confirmed and was NEVER told that they won’t be doing the cavitron or prophy. So basically it was just a scaling and still charging for a lot for that as if you were getting everything included. Next was your being charged for the PPE’S also wasn’t told about that. All I have to say is if anyone is looking for a dental office look elsewhere because they don’t let you know UPFRONT, what is going to be when you come in for your appointment. My husband and I are looking somewhere else that is a private dental office instead of a large dental office from all over.

I had a molar extraction done here. I had always gone to county dental on Shutt Rd but recently found my dr I had seen left the practice and their hours were inconvenient. With much research I decided to goto Mondovi Dental. I am 24 years old and for the past 6 years I haven’t had any dental insurance. My molar ached. The cavity was extremely large and so my dentist warned me that a root canal might be difficult and the tooth might not be able to be saved. However, he tried anyway. I decided to have it pulled. They were informative and laid out all my options as well as pros and cons to each procedure. They continued to follow up with me days after the procedure and the entire staff was extremely friendly and courteous as well as tentative to my needs. I never felt like they weren’t listening or that I wasn’t being kept in the loop. They are amazing. I have extreme anxiety about going to the dentist but they made it seem effortless. I will never again go anywhere else.

I paid out of pocket and they still billed my insurance and didn't refund me. The dentist that I saw wanted to put 3 additional crowns on teeth that did not and do not need it. Thankfully I went elsewhere for a consult and they laughed at the recommendations. 3 years later and I am still waiting for a refund. What was most disturbing was another dentist that greeted me and told me that my issue was because I didn't take care of my teeth...I brush after EVERY TIME that I eat and floss at least 3 times daily. How many people do you know that had a toothbrush and floss on hand at all times? Mind you I went in because I had a 20+ year old filling fall out and they told me that I needed 3 crowns and multiple fillings. And my last cleaning was a couple of months before I moved to New York was perfect.

CHECK YOUR INSURANCE Their website listed my insurance as one they accept. When I made the app't, I gave my insurance information. NOTHING was said about MetLife no longer being an in network provider. When I questioned why I was being charged, as my cleaning and x-rays are usually covered 100%, the response was that most dental insurances don't cover 100% and I'd need to speak with my HR about my benefits. I asked for the Benefit Plan Summary that MetLife had sent over stating they only cover 60%. No wonder: Mondovi is an OUT OF NETWORK provider. Nice of the staff to mention it. Their website also states patients will be provided an estimate of services UP FRONT. Didn't happen. It wasn't until AFTER the x-rays and cleaning (Nancy and Karen are GREAT!) that I was informed I owed $136. Buyer beware. I won't be back. Follow up - just got off the phone with dental office. They are OUT OF NETWORK for ALL insurances. They accept just about all insurances, but the customer will PAY! MONEY MAKING RACKET!
