Dental hygienist broke my permanent retainer during a routine cleaning. Then the office wanted to act like in old x-rays it was already “broke in the earlier months” but never said anything about it to me. They also were not about to pay for it even though they were at fault. Fortunately my orthodontist repaired it free of cost. Terrible experience I will not be returning.

I have been going to the dentist for decades and all dentists except the amount for the cleaning and X-rays that the insurance company will pay. Mondovi ads say new patients are charged $79 for cleaning and X-rays. I had an appointment for a cleaning and X-rays, but they took 18 X-rays and photos of my mouth and an exam and scheduled a different appointment for the cleaning. When I saw the charge for the first appointment, I changed dentists. Dr Cox charged me $345, that is way too much for a partial exam. I want a refund and and explanation for this charge. I have only a $500 copay, the rest is on me. With the filling I had at the second appointment and the rest of the cleaning, I'm broke.

Nice staff @ Southington, but awful corporate customer service. Used to be under a different company name, but since they switched over to mon-scamy, the service has really taken a hit. This company has mistakenly charged both me and my insurance on several occasions and even sent me to a collection service falsely! Now they're asking for extra payment each time I come in for a regular cleaning just because of the cost for covid-19 PPE? Called insurance and they don't cover it, and a quick search online shows there are laws against unreasonably inflating PPE "fees" for this sort of stuff!! Drop them immediately. They only care about the money and will harass you to no end. Sad because I used to like this place a lot. Guess that's what you get when you merge with a corporate chain. EDIT: Mondovi called and offered to waive the PPE "fees" in return for a 5-star review. What a ridiculous notion.

After not seeing a dentist for roughly 10 years, I chose Southington Dental Associates after receiving a recommendation. I don't regret that decision at all. The staff, from the receptionists to the assistants and doctors, are very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They sincerely want to help you maintain your oral health within your means. I've had cleanings, fillings, and even a wisdom tooth taken out and everything has gone smoothly. Keep in mind that is coming from someone who had not seen a dentist in nearly 10 years mostly out of anxiety! The dentist I went to for 15 years recently retired, so I decided to try Southington Dental Associates. I scheduled the first appointment for myself and subsequent appointments for my two daughters. I wanted to see how my experience was before taking my children. After my appointment, I had no reservations about taking them there. Everyone was so welcoming, and I was really impressed with how high-tech the office was. I brought my daughters in for their appointments the following week, and it could not have gone better. I've been going to Southington Dental Associates for well over 10 years. Last year they ripped me off, not once, but twice. I had a filling performed by Dr. Natelli and he stopped mid-procedure, after he drilled the hole in my tooth. He told me he would need to put in a pulp cap at additional charge of $100, which he told me my insurance would not pay. I forced to get out of the chair, walk to the reception desk and sign a statement that I agreed to the additional charges. Keep in mind I had a HOLE drilled in my tooth and was made to do this. On my next (and last visit) they overcharged my insurance for a simple cleaning and dental exam. I now have to pay $45 for what should be free preventative care. Then they waited over 3 months to send me my first bill. Now if I don't pay quickly, they'll send it to collections - after only one bill! TLDR - Beware this office will scam you. Don't trust the 5-star reviews either, the office enters you into a $50 monthly drawing in exchange for a 5-star review.

I'm new to the area and I was having really bad pain as a result of a painful abscess. I did a search and found that this place had a lot of positive reviews, so I called and told them what was going on and they got me in that very same day. They were so friendly, and made me feel comfortable as possible without putting me down because I haven't been going to the dentist as regularly as I should. Instead, they put in a plan to help me out and get my pain managed. They were so proficient that my wife made an appointment with them for her semi annual cleaning. She loved the friendly staff. She mentioned that she was unhappy with her smile because she has some crowding on her bottom teeth. Southington Dental talked to her about getting Invisalign and is working with her so that she can get this done. My wife and I are very pleased with the entire staff, and we are so glad that we found them. They are very accommodating and you will be very pleased with the results.

I have been working with this practice since 1984; and remain a regular and loyal patient / customer since Dr. Natelli took over the practice. The entire staff is professional, helpful, and very friendly, they keep the schedule open enough so that they are rarely if ever backed up or behind - have never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time. They've been doing a great job of updating equipment and technology - so it's a comfortable experience, and while they are always vigilant when it comes to brushing and flossing, I never leave feeling bad about that.
