Dr. Pellegrini and everyone at his office continues to show empathy, patience and a genuine desire to give you a plan that’s focused on what’s best for the patient, NOT just what’s best for their pockets. This is the first dentist I’ve had, that gives me good advice. He’s especially good for patients who are survivors of trauma. If you are a survivor of complex trauma, you already know that the medical field is not great at trauma-informed care. Dr. Pellegrini “gets it”.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pellegrini's for over 20 years (even before the office became Mondovi). He is very kind and knowledgeable. Dentist appointments here are almost pain-free. Even when my youngest was four and needed a cavity filled, she loved going. That says something. He is encouraging regarding my serious health problems. I have been in tears here due to the kindness people at this office have expressed to me particularly during times that I am struggling (and not from dental issues). I regularly see Natalie, the dental hygienist, for cleanings. She, too, is wonderful. She is careful with cleanings, checks in to see how you are, and gives great suggestions for follow up dental care. I have since moved away from the area, but still have been returning to this office because they almost feel like family all this time.

This practice has rated a 5: Two fine dentists and professional, knowledgeable hygienist Natalie explain findings, procedures and x-rays, make patient comfortable, take questions. They now offer a special oral cancer examination as well as basic services. Environment is clean, quiet, calming. Office staff also top-notch. Parking can be a challenge in Belmont Center.
Dr. Pelligrini is terrific, caring and makes a huge effort to ensure that your tolerating whatever he’s doing in your mouth. I can’t recommend him enough.
Dr Panwar was very kind and professional. She answered all my questions and although I have only seen her for two visits I trust her. I have terrible anxiety and distrust of the medical field which creates a lot of barriers to getting proper medical care. Most doctors show little empathy or patience for my symptoms. I am also suffering with horrible teeth- it’s embarrassing, and I even have trouble just being in the waiting room. Dr. Pellegrini is the kindest dentist I’ve ever had- he absolutely understands people with trauma. He’s non-judgmental and he always makes time for me when I have an emergency. He also has made great referrals for me, as I often need a surgeon. I’ve seen a few other dentists there, when he was on vacation. While no one compares to Dr. Pellegrini, they were kind too, and did a good job. Over the years I’ve had horrible experiences with dentists who made treatment plan decisions that didn’t benefit me in the long run- Dr P really seems to care about the long term outcome and is very mindful when thinking of how to tackle the bigger picture- he looks at who you are and your needs, when discussing options. Front desk staff also very nice and welcoming. Even the woman that handles the business end stuff! And I rarely see that. They have a small parking lot, but it’s usually full when I’ve been there- there is plenty of street parking but depending on appointment time, it could be hard to get so just make sure to leave yourself a little extra time for that.

Francesca was my dental hygienist. We talked about her dog briefly, I told her my history, and she got to work. She was professional, personable, lefficient, and was done in 25 minutes. My mouth feels great today. Then Dr. Petrou came in, checked my teeth and gums, did a tongue check and we talked about what we are keeping an eye on for future visits. Dr. Petrou has a pleasant manner, put a crown in for me last time that fit immediately, and has been rock solid. I like Dr. Petrou for his skills and his chair side manner. Finally I apologize that I don’t know the receptionist’s name, but she took care of my co-pay in a Boston minute and is also a pleasure to see each visit. Good job Mondavi Dental!

Since we got Belmont 2 years ago, we found in Mondovi Dental our trustable dentist office. They diagnosed and fix my periodontal disease through deep cleaning and tips for maintenance. I follow their advise and now I have the healthiest mouth ever! They also see my kids (5 and 3yo) and teach them how to care about their teeth and providing a happy visit to the dentist always!
